Part of our Religious Education Program is for the youth of our parish community. The Youth Group is open to all young adults who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Our Youth Group is involved in a number of projects to aid both the parish community and the community at large.
Every year they help with the Cookie Walk (baking lots of cookies), Breakfast with St. Nicholas, St. Patrick’s Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner, build the fire pit used for the Easter Vigil Mass and they even help with landscaping parish grounds.
In previous years they have participated in CROP Walk, raised money for Catholic Relief Services tsunami relief, and made blankets for the Pediatric departments of local hospitals.
Last year, they helped with the Thanksgiving Dinner, built houses with Habitat for Humanity and carried the Jubilee Cross last summer for both Sts Hedwig & Patrick.
This year they are making hats and scarves for Catholic Charities' “Busy Hands” program and coordinating the Christmas sale of Fannie May Candy.
We encourage all junior and senior high school students who have been Confirmed to call the parish office, 574-232-5839 if you are interested in becoming part of the Youth Group
